I could live quite happily in Ardnamurchan; it instils such a sense of detachment and an air of restfulness that from the moment you arrive everything seems to slow down. The hills may not be as high here as in other parts of Scotland, but they are still beautifully formed and rugged, and the seascapes must be among the best in the world. It's also one of my favourite sunset locations!
