Usually, I don't enjoy taking photographs in summer as the land adopts a green uniformity. However, the Western Isles are the exception; here, the glorious white beaches bordered by acres of the colourful wild flowers of the machair and massive skies with splendid cloud formations just beg to be photographed. The quality of light on these islands is unbelievable! Friendly people too!
