Photograph Scotland On Location: The Western Isles
|
A photo tour of 9 days, suitable for all levels, photographing the
islands of the Outer Hebrides. The Western Isles lie between
50 and 100km across the Minch and the Sea of the Hebrides from Mainland
Scotland. Offering a spectacular combination of coastal and mountain
scenery, dramatic ancient monuments and an unrivalled variety of flora
and fauna, these islands abound with opportunities to take your
photography to a new level. Our itinerary takes us from the Standing
Stones of Callanish on the Isle of Lewis in the north, to the beautiful
and remote beaches of the island of Vatersay in the south. We will visit
at least ten islands on our journey, which has been specifically timed
to coincide with the islands’ most colourful season when the wild
flowers of the machair are in full bloom. We travel to Ullapool for the
ferry crossing to Lewis and work southwards through the islands,
returning by ferry to Oban. |
